Athena Cyber Defense LLC is an independent specialized advisory practice led by Priyendu Subashchandran, CSSLP. Available engagements include software architecture reviews, threat modeling, regulatory gap assessments, and DoD Authority to Operate (ATO) readiness for medical device and complex distributed systems.
Technical Leadership for High-Stakes Environments.
Available advisory engagements translate DoD RMF expectations into engineering requirements, security-control mappings, and prioritized documentation gaps for medical diagnostic and health IT platforms.
Scoped architecture reviews and threat-modeling engagements assess trust boundaries, data flows, and shared failure modes, with practical mitigation recommendations for multi-tier hardware/software platforms.
Available gap assessments examine alignment with FDA premarket cybersecurity expectations, medical-device risk management, and software lifecycle standards, producing actionable engineering and documentation recommendations.
Available architecture reviews assess real-time operating systems, multi-node clinical networks, track robotics, and distributed services against defined availability, fault-isolation, and recovery requirements.
Available assessments apply Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) principles to medical-device product security: define scope, review exposure evidence, prioritize risk, plan validation, and organize remediation. Recommendations account for clinical context and ISO 14971 risk-management processes.
